Lady Knights Start To Number One

Last night the #1 seed Sterling Lady Knights (24-2) started their playoff run and hosted the number #16 seed Lower Cape May Caper Tigers (6-16). Did not take the Lady Knights to long to prove why they are the favorite in Group Two. The game started off on an offensive explosion by Kylie O'Donnell who scored the games first 11 points. Three of which were uncontested three pointers she had a game high 17 points. Sterling held the Caper Tigers to only 4 points in the first quarter then help them scoreless in the second. Sterling had a commanding 29-4 lead at halftime. Coming out of halftime the Lady Knights scored 19 in the third quarter thanks in part to the depth of their team. Mid way through the fourth all five starters came out to a standing ovation by the home crowd and the reserves did the rest. Sterling went on to beat the Caper Tigers  by a score of 53-20. Next game for the Lady Knights will be Wednesday March 2 at 6pm at Sterling High School and the will host West Deptford.
